Log Comments and Reviewer Notes

Log Comments:  There is an activity available on the proposal workspace that allows all users that can view the proposal to enter a general comment pertaining to the full proposal which will be viewable by all others.

Reviewer Note: These are either public or private comments that can be entered at the top of specific forms where data is gathered and would address an issue specifically related to that page.

• Available for all Project Types (Proposal, PACUR, Project, Budget (including grids)
• Available during all states of the workflow
• Follows Read/Edit securities of the workflows:
  
  • Any person able to access a Form, can read the Reviewer Notes if they have Read access.
  • Any person can edit a Form if they have Create or Respond access. They can also edit their own existing Reviewer Notes.
  • The Reviewer Note Types available to the user when creating a Reviewer Note should correspond with their ability to create a type. For example, a PI will only be able to choose from “Lab/Division/Program General Comment” and “Lab/Division/Program Private Comment.”
  • NSF cannot Read, Create, Respond, Edit or Delete any Reviewer Notes
