PandA allows users to create multiple budgets for the following purposes:

  • Create mulitple budget scenarios and select one for proposal submission

  • Create multiple budgets intended to roll up into a single overall budget for proposal submission

  • Combination of the two options

  • For Complex Proposals, Budgets will be developed at the Project levels and the Proposal Budget for Submission will always be a roll-up budget of the Project Budgets.

All Budgets will include both Forms and Budget Grids.

  • The Budget Form responses will define the parameters of the user's unique budget development.

  • The Budget Grids are where users will enter Budget numerical data. Summaries will be presented at the top of each grid.

Responses entered in the Proposal Form, the Project SmartForm (Complex Proposals Only), the Budget Form and the Budget Grids will determine, for example:

  • staff available for selection on salary grids
  • number of years or periods available in the budget grids
  • the applied rates and fees (including agency fees, ie NOAA and NSF)
  • PACUR Forms

Budgets Views and Reports

Users will access their completed Budgets from the Budget Workspace. The Budget Tab will provide a list of all completed budgets with a  HTML dynamic summary view of all options. The Budget Summary Tab will also show all available budgets from the Budget Workspace. This is where users are able to export selected budgets to Excel or to other common required formats including the UCAR format and the NSF1030. If multiple budget scenarios have been developed, users will select the Budget(s) for Submission from the Workspace.
